Depends on the monkey

Assemble the tree according to the instructions. Each player receives 8 monkeys of one color.

Each player takes a turn rolling the 2 dice (a color die and a number die).

Did a monkey of your color come up? The player hangs the number of monkeys indicated by the number die.

Did a monkey of a different color come up? The player removes one monkey of the color shown on the color die.

Is it a joker? The player who rolled hangs their monkeys and removes one monkey belonging to another player of their choice.

How do you hang the monkeys?

Very simply, the first monkey is hung on one of the slots at the top of the tree. The monkey below it is hung onto it.
