They cover the Earth and most of our bodies are made of them… Water is the essence of life for humans, animals, and plants, so let’s make it clean and pure!

It’s great that we have taps that provide good, tasty drinking water and bottles of delicious mineral water that we can take anywhere. But in places where water quality is less than ideal, it must be filtered to maintain health. Let's learn how to do it ourselves!

Water, water everywhere, but cleanliness is most important!
In the Water Purification science kit, we will create our own water filters that work through water filtration and distillation, and see together how "dirty" water becomes pure and clear by the end of the experiment.
How does it work?
The water purification method using filtration is based on the percolation of water through four layers: gravel, which filters out the largest particles; sand, which filters out smaller particles; activated carbon, which absorbs chemical substances; and filter paper, which is used to filter out fats in the water and the smallest particles. The distillation method for water purification is based on evaporating the water and collecting it as distilled water in a separate container, without the dirt particles that do not evaporate.
